More than just skiing

Lush snow and pure enjoyment: Winter holidays in Tyrol

It doesn't have to always be about skiing. Nauders will captivate and inspire you - even away from the slopes. Winter enthusiasts and active holidaymakers can expect a diverse alternative program to the classic skiing holiday. Dreamlike winter hiking trails, tobogganing routes and pure alpine lodge magic will turn your winter holiday in the Reschen Pass region into a real treat.

Sledging in Nauders

Tobogganing in Nauders is a must for every Nauders guest, or at least one run on the longest natural sledge slope in Tyrol. The eight-kilometre-long run takes you down 1200 metres of altitude. Or you can plan a family excursion on ice: the new Winter Wonder World below Naudersberg Castle invites you to a hilarious get-together with a natural ice rink and a bob run. Laughter guaranteed!

Ski tours at the Reschenpass

What could be better than a ski tour on the Reschen Pass in untouched powder snow? The fantastic geographical location, framed by the mountains of the Ötztal Alps, the Sesvenna and the Samnaun Group, makes the Reschen region an insider's tip for ski tour lovers. You will find a real touring paradise here, ranging from the pleasure tour to the challenging climb to one of the surrounding 3000-metre peaks.

Winter hiking in and around Nauders

Around 110 km of safe, cleared and perfectly groomed winter hiking trails await you. Far away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes and the centre, nature lovers enjoy the clear mountain air and deep snow-covered winter landscape in the border triangle. Miles you walk through white nature, trees to the left and right with an idyllic tranquillity. Step inside, the paths lead you to the indescribably beautiful winter paradise at the Reschenpass.

Enchanting family time

The "Winter Wonder World" for young and old is set against a romantic backdrop beneath Naudersberg Castle, in the centre of Nauders: the new leisure area is a place where winter dreams come true. This is where the whole family can meet after skiing to enjoy après-ski together. Parents can enjoy a cup of hot mulled wine with atmospheric music while the kids enjoy a round of ice skating or let of steam on the tubing track or race on the mini-bobsled run. This is a holiday in Tyrol.

Icy fun

The idyllic-frozen bathing lakes and ice rinks in the Tyrolean Oberland are an attraction for the whole family. Young and old can enjoy a true icy paradise here. You can get a sense of the pure winter atmosphere on the large natural ice areas beneath Naudersberg Castle in Nauders. Those not wanting to venture out onto the ice can fortify themselves in the quaint alpine lodges surrounding the ice rink with punch and mulled wine. In contrast, those sporty among us can let loose on the new speed-skating trail at Lake Reschen or take up ice hockey instead. Or you can even round off your day of holiday with a lively game of ice-stick shooting. Skates and sticks can be rented easily on-site.

“Show in Snow” - spectacular winter show at the Bergkastel Nauders ski resort

Winter parties & alpine lodge frolics. The big “Ski Show” takes centre stage every Tuesday at the Lärchenalm in the Nauders ski resort. Ski instructors, ski acrobats, freestylers and PistenBully drivers captivate you with a show filled with tradition and modernity. Look forward to phenomenal effects and spectacular highlights. Afterwards, spectators and participants of the show come together to celebrate in a large alpine lodge party. We all head back down into the valley afterwards on a collective toboggan run. Entry into the show is free, you only pay for the ascent with the Lärchen-Lift.

In the footsteps of old traditions

Several dozen stagecoaches and rider crews passed through the border municipality of Nauders on the Reschen Pass daily in times gone by. Follow in the tracks of old traditions and experience the beautiful Tyrolean mountain landscape on a romantic carriage or sleigh ride. The riding farms in the vicinity of our Hotel Post provide daily trips into the surrounding area and along the famous Via Claudia Augusta Roman road.
